Rumor had it that Santa's traditional fur trimmed, red suit was getting dingy and, well, let's just say a little snug. We've come up with some creative new outfits for old Kris Kringle to wear on his big night.  I wonder which one he'll choose?

Quadrilateral Review

Grade 5 students have been reviewing the characteristics of quadrilaterals from the grade 4 curriculum.

On large polygons students have marked and written about:

• parallel sides
• equal sides
• angle measurements
• types of angles
• lines of symmetry

Poetry Anthologies

We've learned a lot about poetry, writing and editing our own work while putting together our poetry anthologies. 

During their presentations, students will share:

• an overview of their anthology
• two poems that they have written
• one of their selected poems
• one of their illustrations

Art Journals: Assembling the books

Today Anna and my daughter Jahn cut the large sheets of paper to make the individual pages of our art journals. They assembled the pages and bound them with cord. Thanks for doing such an awesome job.  Don't they look amazing? We're looking forward to our next creative session, which will be scheduled before the holidays.
